Cherokee Campground (Helena, AL)
We stayed at Cherokee Campground for two nights. There were lots of trees in and around the campground but I was able to find enough clearance to get the satellite tripod aimed and working well. Cherokee Campground had military discounts for $13 per night so it was a good deal for a couple of nights. That's the main reason we decided to stay here. Gotta keep an eye on that budget!
The campground wasn't much to write home about but it was OK for a couple of nights. During our full day there we went and put some diesel fuel in the truck for the next leg of our trip. We also picked up a few groceries at Winn Dixie and treated ourselves to Taco Bell for lunch. Every once in awhile I need my Doritos Locos Tacos fix!
We'll pull out of here tomorrow, March 12 and head to West Monroe, LA.
